Businesses have been devastated by flooding resulting from Storm Ciarán.
A video obtained by the News shows the moment that a wave crashed into The Watch House Café on East Beach in West Bay on Thursday, causing floods that staff are still cleaning up.
The café hopes to be open by Sunday.
The video also shows floodwater outside the Seagull Restaurant, held at bay by a few sandbags.
At the same time in West Bay, the Bridport Arms car park and the Esplanade were closed with barriers to prevent flooding.
Nearby the Freshwater Holiday Park experienced severe flooding and had to be evacuated.
