The coast path from West Bay to Burton Bradstock has been closed.
As Storm Ciaran battered Dorset's coastline with heavy rain and winds Dorset Council closed the coast path and issued a warning.
A spokesperson said: "We are also receiving reports of people visiting East Beach, which is at risk from wave overtopping.
"Please stay away from the coast. Beaches, cliffs, piers etc. are potentially dangerous during Storm Ciarán."
