Following a week of rain and weather warnings a bonfire night in Dorset has been postponed.
The Wareham Wednesday Monster Bonfire and Fireworks display had been planned for this Friday, November 3, but has now been postponed until November 15.
Held at the Swanage and Wareham RFC on Bestwall Road, Wareham, organisers say that the postponement of the event is the result of rain and weather warnings for this weekend.
A spokesperson for the event said: "Due to the spell of persistent rainfall and weather warnings for this weekend we have made the difficult decision to postpone this Friday's event and will reschedule for Friday, November 17."
The event will feature fireworks, a bonfire, live music, food, a funfair and more. Gates will open at 6pm.
This comes as Storm Ciaran is expected to bring heavy rain and wind to parts of the UK.
The Met Office has already issued several yellow weather warnings for parts of southern England, Wales and areas of Yorkshire ahead of the storm.
Warnings for Storm Ciaran start from late evening of Wednesday, November 1 and are expected to last until late on Thursday, November 2.
Some areas will have the warning of heavy rain and wind last until Friday evening.
It's expected that Storm Ciaran will bring around 80mph winds and 60mm of rain throughout the week.
Other bonfire events are still planned for this weekend.
Weymouth's free Community Guy Fawkes Bonfire and Fireworks are planned on the town's beach on Sunday, November 5. On the same day will be a fireworks display at Dorchester Rugby Club with attractions for all the family.
