Upwey’s popular annual Bonfire and Fireworks are moving this year.
Previously behind Westbrook Barn on Church St, this year on November 4 they will be hosted at West Farm DT3 5PS on Bincombe Road.
Organised by the Upwey Society for the community, the fun family evening includes professional fireworks, a bonfire, hot dogs and toffee apples.
Stuart Mead, Upwey Society Committee member and head of the bonfire team said the move will make the fireworks easily accessible and further away from pets
He said: “We’re really excited to be able to use this brilliant site.
"It’s easily accessible on foot, but being a little outside the village means we’ll be further from pets, and the ground should be drier underfoot than the old field.
"We’re incredibly grateful to the Foot family for offering West Farm to us.”
The entry fee is £5 for adults and £1 for children with cash preferred.
The fire will be lit at about 6pm, with fireworks around 6.45pm.
The organisers say that although there is some parking available, it would help if people could walk to the site if they can.
Organisers have asked that sparklers are not brought to the event.
