A road in Portesham will be closed for five days.
Winters Lane will be closed from its junction with Winters Close and the entrance to number 10, a distance of approximately 95 metres.
This work will begin on Monday, October 23 and is expected to be completed by Friday, October 27.
The closure will enable Wessex Water safe access to carry out a new connection.
The alternative route, which will be signposted is as follows: Friar Waddon Lane - B3159 - Nottington Lane - B3157 - Front Street.
