THE longest-lasting female duo in Britain is to perform a gig in a Dorset village.
Chris While and Julie Matthews will perform at Osmington Village Hall on Friday, November 3.
They have played more than 2,500 gigs, appeared on more than 100 albums, written hundreds of original songs and reached millions of people around the world.
Chris & Julie are generally regarded as folk/singer-songwriters but their outlook is more akin to the DIY philosophy of punk.
Their songs are varied and colourful and draw inspiration from the overtly political to key social issues and real-life human stories.
Promoters say: "Osmington Village Hall is the perfect, intimate venue for this long-awaited autumn gig."
Doors open at 7pm and the gig starts at 7.30pm. Buy tickets at www.wegottickets.com/event/593020
