A van and suspected stolen tools were seized by police.
Police seized a van and a number of gardening tools, which were thought to be stolen, following reports of suspected hare coursing in Cranborne.
The van was seized after checks by the Dorset Police Rural Crime Team showed it had no insurance.
The van was subsequently taken away on the back of a truck by police.
Police also seized chainsaws, leaf blowers and hedge trimmers which were suspected to have been stolen.
A Rural Crime Team spokesperson said one of the occupants "decided to play hide and seek", fleeing the scene but there was no update on whether the individual was located.
The spokesperson said: "Following reports of suspected hare coursing in Cranborne a vehicle and suspected stolen tools have been seized by police.
"The vehicle was seized after checks showed it had no insurance. It’s suspected one of the occupants decided to play hide and seek before we got there.
"Unfortunately for them it’s now tipping it down!"
