AN EXCITING new dance theatre show featuring groundbreaking projection, an extraordinary soundscape and a blizzard of paper and confetti is coming to a Dorset village.
Audiences in Dorset have one opportunity to see Little Murmur this November as it heads to the county with Artsreach, Dorset’s touring arts charity.
Diagnosed with dyslexia at a young age, Aakash Odedra found school very challenging: he spelt his name wrongly until he was 21 and it wasn’t until he "found the missing 'A'" that he felt he belonged.
Based on the true story of one child’s struggle with letters and words, Little Murmur combines visual design and technology with dance and humour in an honest and heart felt conversation about the trials and tribulations of living with dyslexia, facing challenges and overcoming the odds.
Watch bodies and words fly like flocks of birds, a murmuration, a little murmur…
Kerry Bartlett, Artsreach director, said: “We are thrilled to be able to bring this exciting digital dance show to Dorset as part of the National Rural Touring Dance Initiative, and are particularly pleased to be able to work closely with a local primary school to present the show for the community, with children taking part in a creative workshop with the company before the show."
Immerse yourself in this stunning visual treat at Broadmayne Village Hall on Thursday, November 9 at 2pm.
