TWO men have been arrested for alleged assault and theft at a Dorset hunt.
A spokesperson for the Dorset Police Rural Crime Team said: "Officers from the team have made two arrests following reports of assault and theft at the Blackmore and Sparkford Vale hunt.
"Dorset Police received a report at 09:42 hours on Tuesday, September 26 that a person had been assaulted and equipment stolen in the area of Load Lane, Hilfield.
"Following an investigation one male aged 33 from the Colehill area and another male aged 34 from the Poole area were arrested on suspicion of assault and theft.
"They have been released on police bail with conditions not to attend any hunt related activity, as officers carry out further enquiries."
