A Dorset children’s charity is opening its doors to show visitors the incredible work that staff do.
Julia’s House in Corfe Mullen will open to the public on Thursday, October 5 so that visitors are able to experience first-hand the amazing facilities that the hospice offers to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
Charlie Squires, public fundraising assistant for Julia’s House said: “We understand that some people may be nervous about visiting our hospice and unsure of what to expect.
“Our experienced tour guides, made up of friendly staff and volunteers, are sure to make you welcome and set you at ease. We know that once you see what a fantastic and happy place Julia’s House is, your reservations will soon disappear.”
Tours of the hospice will run every hour throughout the day from 10am to 1pm and in between, guests can chat with the dedicated Julia’s House staff over a complimentary tea or coffee while indulging in some delicious treats from the Bake sale.
The team is holding the open day to show visitors why public support is so vital to the charity, and how fundraising, donations and gifts in wills are so vital to help support the families of seriously ill children across Dorset and Wiltshire.
Places are limited and can be booked online at: www.juliashouse.org/event/dorset-hospice-open-day-oct-2023 or by calling the Community Fundraising Team on 01202 644220.
