A person has been rescued after falling 20 feet down an embankment in North Dorset.
Poole Fire Station’s Technical Rescue Team and Shaftesbury Fire Station’s on-call firefighters rushed to the aid of a person who had fallen halfway down a hill and into the trees at Pine Walk in Shaftesbury.
Due to where the person fell, it was hard for emergency services to reach them, so rope systems and technical rescue team equipment was used to bring the injured person down to the safety of the awaiting ambulance.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 12 at 3.45pm.
The rescue operation took around one hour, with the stop call coming in at 4.54pm.
