The NO TO THE BARGE Group has distanced itself from a far right group that will be holding a demonstration on Portland this weekend.
As previously reported, a far right group will be holding a demonstration on Portland on Saturday.
Stand Up to Racism Dorset will be holding a counter-protest at the Victoria Square Roundabout one the same day.
The NO TO THE BARGE Group will be staying away from protests on Saturday and does not want to engage with other protest groups.
A spokesperson for the NO TO THE BARGE Group said: "This has nothing to do with us.
"We do not condone any far-right group.
"Our position is that we are socially downtrodden and socially deprived on Portland and we cannot cope with an extra 500 people on Portland.
"We have been let down by the government, our local councils, our MP and the privately owned port.
"We want to make absolutely clear we do not condone these horrible far-right views and we are not part of this."
