A PERFORMER who was enthralled by Weymouth's Christmas pantos as a child is to take to the stage for its 2023 edition.

Jamie Riding is to star as the Dame in Weymouth Pavilion's Christmas 2023 pantomime, which has been announced as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

The pantos are popular with children and adults alike and have been a mainstay of family festive entertainment in the town for many years.

Born and bred in Dorset, Jamie trained at the Jellicoe Theatre at Bournemouth and Poole College and went on to collect a portfolio of experience within theatre, starring as Baroness Daisy Hardup in Cinderella, The Lion in The Wizard of Oz and many more.

Jamie is very much looking forward to treading the boards of the stage at Weymouth Pavilion this Christmas as he has spent many happy years visiting the theatre as a child, watching both pantomimes and summer shows.

Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs is brought to Weymouth by the same team behind previous hilarious Weymouth pantos Sleeping Beauty, The Wizard of Oz and Rapunzel.

It will be staged by Enchanted Entertainment, who look forward to bringing the Christmas show to Dorset audiences.

In a true rags to riches story Snow White manages, with the help of her madcap friend Muddles the Jester, to meet a handsome Prince and make all her dreams come true.

Promoters say: "This is a pantomime full of excitement, including a Good Fairy, a Magic Mirror and the craziest Seven Dwarfs you've ever seen!

"So come and join in the festive fun as Weymouth Pavilion and Enchanted Entertainment bring the world's best-known and most loved pantomime to life. A show bursting with great songs, fantastic dance routines and plenty of laughter, this is a tremendous treat for all the family you won't want to miss."

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Weymouth's Christmas panto, can be seen from Sunday, December 16 to Sunday, December 31. There will be performances at 2pm and 6pm.
