A VILLAGE fete has raised an impressive £4,000 for local charities.
OsFest - Osmington Village Fete - took place on Sunday, August 6 at Osmington Village Hall and the neighbouring parish field.
It included the ever popular dog show, lots of stalls and games, live music throughout the afternoon, a bar, barbecue, ice creams, and the Famous Osmington Egg Toss!
Organised by village group Phoenix Fundraisers, the event will benefit Riding For The Disabled, Julia's House, and St Osmund's Church.
Eileen Bramley and Vic White, of Phoenix Fundraisers, were also named 'Village Heroes' for all that they do to bring the village together, including functions and pub nights at the village hall, as well as leading the organisation of the annual fete each August.
Eileen says: "It was a truly wonderful day, with a happy atmosphere and it was so lovely to see locals and visitors alike enjoying all that the fete had to offer.
"Huge thanks go to our small army of volunteers and helpers, as well as our sponsors and supporters, without whom we wouldn't have been able to raise so much for three wonderful good causes."
