The streets of Bridport were filled with cheer and celebration as the popular carnival procession weaved its way through the town.
The procession started from West Allington and snaked along West Street down to the Town Hall before turning into South Street and making its way to the Morrisons car park.
This year featured the Bridport Round Table dressed up as blue aliens from the movie Avatar, a Beatles yellow submarine and much more with a variety of colourful costumes, acts and accompanying floats.

The highly-anticipated Torchlight Procession will bring an end to carnival celebrations later today.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive at Bucky Doo Square at 6.30pm to ensure they get their torches ahead of the spectacle.
As dusk hits at 9pm, Bucky Doo Square will light up with the flames of torches.
Firstly, the mayor’s torch is lit, then he lights those nearby and it follows on, cascading through the procession until the final torch is lit.
The procession slowly makes its way down to West Bay, where the torches are thrown onto the bonfire and food and drinks are available to celebrate.
There will also be entertainment available from local band, The Skalatans, until around 10pm when fireworks are set to light up the night sky.
