BT has asked planning consent for the removal of two East Dorset telephone boxes.
The company say the traditional boxes are now little used.
One is outside the Memorial Hall in Ringwood Road, Verwood; the other at Dales Drive, Colehill.
The Verwood box was only used six times in the past 12 months and the one at Colehill 29 times.
BT claims mobile coverage with the main providers in both areas is “good”.
Public comments on the proposal to remove the boxes can be made before mid-September to Dorset Council.
