A MAN has denied strangling a child in Weymouth and sending 'offensive' messages.
Kenneth Santi, aged 35, of no fixed abode, is accused of intentional strangulation on October 22, 2022.
He is alleged to have strangled the child on the Esplanade in Weymouth.
Santi also faces a charge of sending a public communication which is 'offensive, indecent, obscene and menacing' by way of a message on October 24, 2022.
The messages were alleged to have been sent electronically and were 'grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character'.
Santi denied both charges at Poole Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, August 9.
He has been remanded on conditional bail before his next hearing at the same court at 10am on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.
