Last night Weymouth was lit up by fireworks that could be seen across the seafront.
This was the second fireworks display at Weymouth Bay taking place over the summer holidays.
If you missed them, or want to see more, there are still three other dates for fireworks displays at Weymouth Bay:
- Monday August 14
- Monday August 21
- Monday August 28 (Bank Holiday)
All the fireworks displays, organised by Weymouth Town Council, will take place at 9.30pm.
Where possible, people are encouraged to leave their cars at home and walk or use public transport when getting to and from displays.
In a previous statement Mayor of Weymouth, Cllr Kate Wheller said: “We know these events will be a big draw to residents and people visiting Weymouth over the summer, boosting tourist numbers in the town.
“The firework events across Weymouth Bay always create a great atmosphere and it’s also great to have two extra dates on the 7th and 21st August, which are sponsored by Weymouth Bay and Littlesea who are part of Haven Holiday Park.”
