ITV Coronation Street and Emmerdale legend Denise Black has opened up to fans after recently being rushed to hospital.
The star, who is known for playing Denise Osbourne on the Manchester-based soap and Joanie Dingle on Emmerdale, was taken to hospital after breaking bones in her arm and foot.
The actress took to social media to reveal the recent injuries to fans with her praising the work of the NHS and its doctors and nurses.
She also revealed photographs of the damage done while issuing an update about her acting career.
In the post on Facebook, Denise said: "Now I’m mending I can tell you. I broke my wonky arm. As I fell I dropped what I was carrying which broke my foot. Know Hoffnung’s Bricklayers joke? Google it. I am that joke.
"Humungous shout out to doctors and nurses far and wide, very especially our beloved NHS. You make humans seem like GOOD people."
The ITV star from Emmerdale and Coronation Street went on to update fans about her career, revealing that she would still be filming despite the sustained injuries from her fall.
She said: "Great news is I’m still filming. Even better news is I’m mending. Sure, I may be wonkier than before, but in truth, aren’t all the best people? Inside and out #embraceyourwonkiness #thankyounhs."
Denise played Joanie Dingle from 2013 to 2017 and acted on Corrie as Denise Osbourne from 1992 to 1997 before returning for a stint which lasted from 2007 to 2017.
