Firefighters were called out to a woodland blaze.
The Wareham crew were called out to a heath fire on Moreton Drive at 6.45pm yesterday, Monday, June 26.
The fire was in an area of trees and undergrowth measuring approximately 15m by 5m.
Firefighters used hose reel jets and a main line to extinguish the fire.
One of Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service's UniMogs was also called into action, an all-terrain vehicle used to fight forest fires.
The Wareham firefighters were joined by crews from Bere Regis and two pumps from Dorchester Fire Station.
A spokesperson for Wareham Fire Station said: "The fire was quickly extinguished by a team effort."
The stop message - meaning the incident is under control and no further resources are required - came in at 8.06pm.
Police were informed.
