Covid patients are being treated in hospital
There were seven more coronavirus deaths recorded over the latest weekly period in Dorset.
Four occurred in the Dorset Council area and three in the Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole area.
The latest figures from the UK coronavirus dashboard show a total of 1,091 people had died in the Dorset Council area by May 18 – up from 1,087 on the week before and 1,362 people had died in the BCP area – up from 1,359.
They were among 14,740 deaths recorded across the South West.
The weekly figures now include anyone whose death certificate – registered up to 14 days before June 1 (Thursday) – mentions Covid-19 as one of the causes.
A total of 192,052 deaths were recorded throughout England by May 18.
