A woman has died at Dorset beach.
Tragedy unfolded on Sunday morning when emergency services, including police, paramedics, firefighters, coastguards and an air ambulance, rushed to a medical emergency on Charmouth Beach, in the west of the county, at about 9am.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious and the woman's next of kin have been informed.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "We received a report of a woman in need of medical assistance in Lower Sea Lane in Charmouth.
"Emergency services attended but very sadly the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and the woman’s next of kin have been informed.
"Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones at this very difficult time."
