A business in Weymouth has won the Dorset Echo's Beauty Therapist of the Year for the second year in a row.
Blushing Buddha, on Abbotsbury Road, came out on top to win its second Beauty Therapist of the Year award after showing they were already a cut above in 2022.
Eloise Corbridge, 43, is the owner of the business.
It first opened in February 2020, but like everyone in the industry Eloise had to then close because of the Covid pandemic.
Eloise said: "I am really happy to be named Beauty Therapist of the Year for the second year.
"It has been a lot busier since winning last year."
The business employs two hairdressers, Eloise does the beauty side, and another lady comes in to do the botox. Recently Eloise completed her teaching training and now offers beauty therapy training.
She believes that it is important to make friends with her clients, making them feel comfortable and to have fun.
"I think it is just I have a very lovely clientele and we just have fun and they are like my friends, not my clients," added Eloise.
"People say that coming in is like a breath of fresh air.
"That is the key to our success. Being relaxed, friendly and non-judgemental.
"We have a range of customers. Some men, more women and for the training we get a lot of youngsters."
Readers were invited to make nominations for the Dorset Echo beauty therapist of the year 2023; the salons with the greatest number of votes then formed the shortlist that readers then voted for their favourite.
Eloise has been running her own salon since she was 23 in Chapelhay, before moving to Preston and eventually her current premises in Westham in early 2020.
In addition to the usual beauty treatments like tanning, massages, and manicures the Blushing Buddha also offers micro-needles and hydrotherapy facials.
Eloise added: "It has been really good to win the award, especially twice after Covid because it was such a bashing to the industry.
"Thank you to everyone who voted for us and continued to support us throughout the years.
"This is the best job in the world and I still have so much fun doing it."
