A community has come together to celebrate the coronation with cream teas and scones.
The 'The King’s Cream Tea' took place at the Dorchester Community Church in Poundbury on Friday, May 5.
It was hosted by and raised money for Age UK North, South & West Dorset.
The afternoon was full of joy and festivities, with 66 attendees who were all dressed in red, white and blue.
Attendees enjoyed handmade scones with clotted cream and jam, provided by Elm Vintage Teas, followed by singing - and even some dancing.
Hilary Foggo, independent living advisor, provided some in-house entertainment with melodies for memories and had the room singing and waving flags to the music, followed by the Cockney Cacophony duo who provided further music and singing and a trip down memory lane with their old London town songs.
A spokesperson for the event said: "It was a beautiful afternoon, with thanks to Humphries Kirk, local solicitors who have supported us with our community engagement for this event."
The church was opened by then-Prince Charles in 2018 when it moved to Poundbury from Acland Road, Dorchester. The church community made the decision to move its premises to Poundbury following an invitation from the Duchy.
