CORONATION celebrations in a Dorset village are in full swing as an exact replica of King Charles' coronation crown goes on display.
Designed by the Chesil Cub group, the crown can be found outside Portesham Village Hall in Goose Hill.
Cub dad Louis Vintiner cut the shape of the crown from plywood and youngsters had 'so much fun' designing the final piece, which is proudly on show to all passers-by.
Mr Vintiner has also picked up the Jungle Book-inspired nickname 'King Louis' for his work helping the cub back.
An official unveiling of the crown was held at the village hall on Thursday, May 4 where cubs and leaders waved Union Jack flags to show off their decorated creation, measuring about five foot wide and long.
Cub scout leader Maureen Adams said: "They [the cubs] have been working on it for quite a long time and covered it with the jewels and velvet.
"It is great to see it all come to fruition. Our cubs had so much fun decorating it and we have sprayed it with a clear varnish to protect it from the weather. We are so proud of what they have achieved."
