Coastguards were called to help a dog which was injured on the coast path.
Crews from Portland Bill Coastguard Rescue were sent to the path at Durdle Pier, a disused stone shipping quay on Portland, at about 1.10pm on bank holiday Monday.
When they arrived they found a woman with her pet, which had a leg injury.
They assessed the animal and managed to carry it up the track to an awaiting vehicle to be taken to the vets.
"Portland Team [were] tasked by Solent Coastguard to assist a lady whose dog had suffered a leg injury on the coast path near to Durdle Pier," the coastguard said.
"On scene the team assessed the dog and using the animal rescue bag was able to recover the dog back to the railway track to be transported to [an] awaiting vehicle to be taken to the vets for further treatment.
"Once the lady and her dog were safely on their way the team returned to station."
