RAIL passengers are facing major disruption this evening on the Weymouth to Waterloo line.
A broken rail was reported at Brockenhurst and as a result the line towards Southampton was blocked.
South Western Railway saythat the fault has ben fixed but there will be disruption for the rest of the day.
A spokesperson for South Western Railway said: "We have been informed of a broken rail at Brockenhurst. This means that trains towards Southampton must run at reduced speed through platform 2, or be diverted to platform 1.

"To assist you with your journey your ticket will be accepted, at no extra cost to yourself, on the following services:
"Bluestar 6 bus route between Southampton and Lymington via Brockenhurst.
"For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.
"We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey."
