A man is in police custody after over £300 of clothes were reported to have been stolen from TK-Maxx in Weymouth.
Security at the high street shop had detained a male for shoplifting.
Officers from Weymouth and Portland Police were able to recover £321.93 worth of stolen clothes.
Images from officers showed piles of Ralph Lauren-branded clothing which had been recovered.
The officers were called to assist whilst patrolling anti-social behaviour hotspots in Weymouth.
A spokesperson for Weymouth and Portland Police said: "Officers have been out on foot patrol today engaging with lots of members of the public.
"We are targeting specific anti-social behaviour hotspots including The Esplanade and the town centre. Whilst on our patrols, officers were called to assist TK-Maxx security who had detained a male for shoplifting.
"A total of £312.93 of stolen clothes were recovered and a local male is currently in police custody.
"The Ralph Lauren thief is not welcome in our community."
