A WEATHER warning for strong winds is in place for Dorset this week.
The Met Office says that a 'swathe of strong winds' will potentially bring some disruption to the south west on Wednesday, April 12.
Some delays to public transport are likely, while some short term loss of power is possible, meteorologists predict.
A yellow weather warning for wind is in place for the county from 6am on Wednesday, April 12 until 11.59pm the same day.
It comes after hundreds of homes across Dorset were affected by a power cut over the weekend.
Drivers of high-sided vehicles on exposed routes are being asked to take care during the windy weather this week.
The Met Office also warned that coastal areas and seafronts will be affected by spray and large waves during the worsening conditions.
