An upcoming weekend in April will see two very different cruise ships calling into Portland Port.
American liner Zuiderdam will stop at the Dorset port on Saturday, April 15, while Norwegian ship MS Otto Sverdup will dock on Sunday, April 16.
Zuiderdam, part of the Holland America line, can accomodate 1,964 passengers while MS Otto Sverdup takes just 526 people.
Popular with wildlife lovers, Zuiderdam features a BBC Earth in concert experience and offers elite dance shows and special trivia nights for music lovers.
Hurtigruten's Otto Sverdup is a German-language ship that was refurbished in 2020 using natural Scandinavian materials 'to create a relaxed and stylish atmosphere'.
They are both part of a busy cruise season for the port, which will welcome 56 vessels to its waters during 2023.
