A service likened to a memorable episode of a much-loved TV sitcom took place in a Weymouth church.
All creatures great and small were invited to a pets' service at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic church in Weymouth.
Father Anthony O'Gorman blessed pets brought along by the congregation after the traditional Sunday mass.
Among the attendees were hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils and even a bearded dragon!
Churchgoer Esmee Nicholls, of Littlemoor, Weymouth, said: "With all the animals there I thought it was going to be absolute mayhem but every animal was very well behaved and everyone enjoyed it.
"Everyone really entered into the spirit of it.
"My daughter said it was like The Vicar of Dibley in Weymouth!
"We sometimes have visitors to the church and this time we had a woman from Carlisle who said she had never seen anything like it before."
