Youngsters at a Weymouth school have been looking ahead to the King's upcoming Coronation.
Pupils at St Andrew's School have welcomed the arrival of a Coronation crab apple tree, which was kindly donated by Weymouth Mayor Councillor Ann Weaving.
The children did some research and learned that King Charles III is interested in making a difference by encouraging people to take care of the planet.
They recycled old milk bottles to make beautiful new watering cans to water the new tree. The children also created some very impressive royal portraits.
A school spokesman said: "Our younger children have enjoyed learning about what plants need to grow.
"They were amazed to see how big the tree was already - they'd been expecting a seedling!
"Mrs Belcher dug a huge hole, and a group of children helped her to plant the tree. We can't wait to see how big it's going to grow!"
