Police are investigating reports of a man being assaulted and racially abused in Salisbury Street, Blandford.
Dorset Police received a report at around 3.25am on Sunday, March 5, of a man being assaulted by another man.
It was reported that the incident involving the two men began a short time before involving the two men in the Kings Arms Alehouse on Whitecliff Mill Street.
The victim, a man aged in his 30s from Bournemouth, did not sustain any serious injuries, police said.
During the incident the man was said to be racially abused by the offender.
Police Constable Mia Jakeman, of Dorset Police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw the assault in the town centre to please come forward.
“If anyone has any footage, either on CCTV or dashcam, that may assist my enquiries, I would urge you to please get in touch.”
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
