EMERGENCY services were called to a main road in Dorset after a vehicle caught fire.
Crews from the police and fire service were called to the A354 near Blandford Forum at 2.30pm today (Thursday, March 2) and were forced to put road closures in place.
It is reported that the fire took place at Winterborne Whitechurch with the road closed for just over one hour.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police confirmed officers had assisted Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service in attending the incident.
They said: “We were called at 2.30pm on Thursday 2 March 2023 to a report of a vehicle fire on the A354 at Winterborne Whitechurch.
Officers attended to assist the fire service and road closures were put in place. The road was reopened at around 3.45pm.”
DWFRS has been approached for comment.
