A village shop has been repeatedly targeted by 'multiple' break-ins over the past two weeks, police say.
Dorset Police are appealing for information following the latest break-in at the Spar store in Yetminster, near Sherborne, in which a shop window was smashed and bottles of alcohol stolen in an early hours raid at approximately 12.30am this morning, Thursday March 2.
Police say that two men were seen breaking into the shop, gaining entry by smashing a window, stealing bottles of alcohol and leaving the premises.
The burglary is the latest in a line of what the police call 'multiple break-ins', with alcohol, tobacco and vapes taken from the same shop some time between 11.30pm on Thursday, February 23 and 12.40am on Friday, February 24.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "I would like to reassure the public that Dorset Police are committed to keeping communities safe from criminality and are making our enquiries.
"This appears to be targeted with multiple break-ins over the past two weeks, so any unusual activity regarding two or more males around the shop would be beneficial to our enquiries.
