Police officers are investigating after a car was damaged in Blandford.

It was reported that a group of around seven people believed to be in their teens were allegedly responsible for the damage.

They were reportedly seen wearing dark clothing and balaclavas.

A spokesperson for Dorset police said: "Dorset Police received a report at around 7.40am on Friday February 24, 2023 that damage had been caused to a vehicle parked in Damory Court Street.

"It is reported that the damage was caused by a group of around seven people who were aged in their late teens and wearing dark clothing and balaclavas. One of the group was wearing a red coat and two were riding bicycles.

"Officers attended and searched the area, as well as checking for CCTV and carrying out house-to-house enquiries."

Police Constable Vicky Worboys, of North Dorset police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw what happened, or witnessed a group of teenagers in the area acting suspiciously, to please come forward.

“If you have a home CCTV system or doorbell camera in the vicinity, I would ask you to please check your footage for anything of relevance to help my enquiries."
