A number of deer have allegedly been hit and killed by a vehicle.
Dorset Police's rural crime team is investigating reports the deer were struck deliberately.
The alleged incident is believed to have taken place on private land in Purbeck.
A vehicle has been seized as enquiries continue.
On Wednesday evening, a spokesman for the rural crime team said: "Recently a vehicle was seized by RCT in relation to an ongoing investigation following reports of a number of deer being intentionally struck and killed by a vehicle in the Purbeck area, on private land.
"Enquires are ongoing."
