Local bus provider First Wessex is launching a 'Sunseeker' bus service to take customers from holiday parks into Weymouth town centre.
The service will take customers to and from Littlesea Haven Holiday Park and Bowleaze Cove Holiday Park and Spa from March until the end of November 2023.
The local 502 bus will become the Sunseeker 12 this year and will look after guests staying at the Littlesea Haven Holiday Park.
Whilst the 503 service will become the Sunseeker 13 and transport guests staying at the Bowleaze Cove Holiday Park and Spa.
First Wessex says that Sunseeker buses 'provide an easy way to get into the centre of Weymouth, whether that’s for the beach, the shops, the station or the harbour'.
Customers can then hop on the Jurassic Coaster buses to Abbotsbury, West Bay and Lyme Regis to the west or Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove to the east.
Simon Goff, managing director of First Wessex said: “The Sunseeker is the best way to get to and from Weymouth town centre from your holiday park and to connect you with our Jurassic Coaster bus services for fantastic views around the Jurassic coast.
"Catching the bus is not only better for the environment, but also takes away the hassle of driving into Weymouth and finding a parking space, and you can be sure you will have a great value, hassle-free family day out.”
Tickets can be purchased on the app or via the driver, cash or contactless.
