A THIRD arrest has been made as police continue to investigate a reported stabbing in Wimborne.
Following further enquiries police confirmed that an 18-year-old man from Poole has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Police were called at around 9.50 pm on Sunday, February 26 to reports that a man had been stabbed at an address in the Leigh Gardens area of the town.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found a man in his 50s had sustained stab wounds, he was consequently taken to hospital via air ambulace for his injuries which were described as serious but not life-threatening.
Following a search of the area as well as enquiries, a 15-year-old boy and a 27-year-old man, both from the Wimborne area, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder - they have currently been released on police bail.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing and detectives from Dorset County CID are continuing to appeal for anyone with information to contact Dorset Police.
