Two fire crews from Shaftesbury were called to a vehicle fire at 10.14 am today.
The fire, which started from a small vehicle in Salisbury Road, spread to a pile of logs, which had to be extinguished.
Firefighters carried out an inspection of the area to ensure the fire had not spread any further.
A thermal imaging camera was used to ensure the fire hadn't spread to a nearby outbuilding.
A spokesperson for Shaftesbury Fire Station said: "Two crews from Shaftesbury were called to a small vehicle on fire at Salisbury Road, Shaftesbury.
"Firefighters extinguished the vehicle using one hose reel jet and one breathing apparatus.
"The fire had spread to a log pile which was removed and also extinguished using a hose reel jet.
"The crews then carried out an inspection of an outbuilding in close proximity using a Thermal Imaging Camera to check for any firespread and ensure the safety of the scene."
