A FIRE broke out after eggs were left cooking in a pan at a home in Dorchester.
Shortly before 1pm on Sunday, February 26 crews from Dorchester Fire Station and Weymouth Fire Station were dispatched to reports of smoke coming out the front of a property on Bathsheba Terrace in the town.
The fire involved unattended cooking at the house, which was promptly extinguished by members of the fire crew who ensured that the building was ventilated before they left the scene at 1.13 pm.
There were no reports of any injuries.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Control said: "A crew from @DWFRSDorchester and @DWFRSWeymouth attended a property in Dorchester with reports of smoke coming out the front of the property.
"Once in attendance crews gained entry to the property and discovered a small fire in the kitchen involving eggs left on a pan.
"Crews removed the pan from the property and ventilated the property.
"At the time no one was in the property or injured. Please remember to switch off any cooking appliances if not in use or left unattended for a period of time."
