MORE details have been released on a new Dorset music festival which is set to raise money for mental health in April.
Purify Festival will run from Friday, April 21 to Sunday, April 23 in Dorchester Road, Sturminster Marshall, to raise funds for Dorset Mind.
It will be taking place just off the A31 at Partyfield and Moonacre, an outdoor events space.
Organisers Rosalind and Dannii Chivers-Dyke say that the nation is facing a mental health 'crisis' and 'wanted to do something to address this'.
Two music stages hosting 25 different artists will play across the long weekend, while there will also be therapies available for festival-goers.
Purify Festival will offer 'all genres of music, therapies and activities' for visitors, with several artists featuring on BBC Introducing, London, Solent and the Asian network, including rock, pop, atmospheric beats, indie, rap and R&B.
There will also be a late night dance rave, hosted by jungle, drum and bass and house DJs.
Half of the profits from the event will go to Dorset Mind, with remaining proceeds reinvested into future events.
"We are really excited to be launching this event, as it’s the first of its kind," said Mrs and Mrs Chivers-Dyke.
"We are especially hopeful that we can raise the funds and the awareness to make a real impact to the residents of Dorset. We want to build a healthier and happier community."
