A stretch of road leading to the seafront in Weymouth will be closed overnight due to essential maintenance works.
A 50-metre portion of Greenhill at the splitter island on the B3155 will be closed to allow safe access for Wessex Water to replace a chamber on the highway.
An alternative route (pictured below) will divert drivers on the B3155 - Melcombe Avenue - B3155.
The notice will come into operation at 8pm on Tuesday, March 7 and will remain in place until 4am the following morning.
The closure is needed to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the notice will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.
