AN ELDERLY man has died after sustaining injuries during a fall on a bus.
At around 2.10pm on Friday, February 24, a man aged in his 80s was injured after reportedly falling over on the number 17 bus in Constitution Hill Road in Poole.
He was taken to hospital for treatment.
The incident was reported to police on the morning of Sunday, February 26 after the man’s condition deteriorated. He was pronounced dead at hospital later that day.
Officers investigating the incident are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Police Constable Tracey Downer, of the traffic unit, said: “We are conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident and our thoughts are with the loved ones of the man who sadly died.
“I would appeal to any passengers who were on the bus at the time and witnessed what happened to please make contact with us.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who was driving in the area and may have captured relevant footage on dashcam.”
