A MOTORIST clocked speeding at 100mph has avoided a driving ban.
Thomas James Bray, whose address was given as Prankerds Road near Sherborne, was found guilty of speeding using the single justice procedure.
The matter was dealt with at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, February 21.
The charge relates to an incident on June 17 of last year when Bray, 30, was driving a Mercedes on the A30 Sherborne - where the speed limit is 70mph.
For the offence, Bray was fined £66 and ordered to pay costs of £90. He must also pay a surcharge of £26 to fund victim services.
He received six points on his licence.
