A MAN has been handed a court bill of more than £500 after stealing tyre rims.
Shane Saunders, 33, appeared before Poole Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, February 22 for sentencing, having been convicted of theft on September 26 last year.
The single charge relates to an incident on September 12, 2021, on which day Saunders stole tyre rims to the value of £80 from Tyreworld in Dorchester.
Saunders, whose address was given as Annet Close in Hamworthy, was convicted by West Hampshire Magistrates’ Court.
For the offence, Saunders has been fined £400 and ordered to pays costs of £85 as well as a surcharge of £70 to fund victim services.
The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into account when imposing sentence.
