The classic film Manon des Sources is being shown in French with subtitles at the newly refurbished Corn Exchange cinema in Dorchester.
The screening will be on Thursday, March 2 at 7.30pm.
If you are interested in watching classic French films but are not a French speaker, the Dorchester-Bayeux Twinning Society is hosting a series of classic films in French with subtitles for people who have an interest in this genre.
Manon des Sources is a tale by Marcel Pagnol set in early 1900s of a beautiful shepherdess who takes revenge on the men of the local village who caused her father's death.
The film from 1986, is one of a pair depicting life in rural Provence, the other being Jean de Florette, which tells the story leading up to the death of Manon's father.
The film is open to all and membership of the society is not required.
Entry is £5 on the door. Bar and doors open at 6.45pm.
