A FASHION awareness event is set to feature in Dorchester this weekend.

The 'Lending is Mending' event will see a pop-up stall situated opposite the Marks and Spencer's outlet on South Street on Saturday, February 25.

Run by Jacqui Booker, an art and design degree student at Weymouth College, the event will aim to raise awareness of the environmental and economic impact of fast fashion.

The show will demonstrate ideas and examples of how clothes can be reused, repurposed or remade with a quirky and humourous edge.

Throughout the event, which will run from 10am until 3pm, passers-by will be invited to engage, participate and share their views on the topical issues raised.
