TWO men have been fined after stealing alcohol from a Home Bargains store in Weymouth.
Levi Adam Chant, 29 and whose address was given as a hotel on Maiden Street, appeared alongside Lewis Brandon Lovell, 25, and whose address was given as St Martin Road on Portland, at Weymouth Magistrates' Court on Friday, February 17.
They both pleaded guilty to one count of theft from a shop after stealing alcohol from Home Bargains at the Littlemoor Shopping Centre to the value of £36.47.
For the offences, the two men have been instructed to pay £2.24 of compensation each.
They were also ordered to each pay £85 in costs, £16 as a surcharge to fund victim services and fined £80.
Both the defendants' guilty pleas were taken into account when imposing sentence.
