A MAN has been charged after an 'altercation' on Weymouth Esplanade at the weekend.
Dorset Police said it was called to the seafront at 1.58pm on Saturday, February 18 to a report of a disturbance involving a group of people.
Officers attended and a 'number of individuals were spoken to', the force said, before a man was issued with a Section 35 dispersal notice requiring him to leave the area.
Police then received another report later in the afternoon at 4.16pm of an altercation taking place on the Esplanade, near to the Jubilee Clock.
Once officers arrived, a 44-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested and has subsequently been charged with breaching a section 35 dispersal order.
